Welcome parents and students to our class mathematics and literacy integrated website. While this website is geared toward our second grade class, any student can use the content within it to expand his or her learning. The primary math content presented in this site is geometry; however, many of the linked websites and games can expand across other curriculum areas. There are six main areas of this website, including: vocabulary, children's literature, word problems, parent/child activities, games, websites, and apps, and the integrated lesson plan. Please explore our site and contact me with any questions, comments, or student work that we could add to the site!
Parents, feel free to explore this site to not only see what your children are learning in the classroom, but also how to supplement their experiences by reviewing at home. There are tips and suggestions for instruction and activities, so that you can work with your child to not only teach them but to enhance their learning as well. Students, I hope you enjoy looking through the games and activities on the site. There are so many great things you can do to learn and have fun! I have also included your vocabulary words, and games and activities you can do either alone or with your family to review your words. The section on word problems also has practice problems for you, and if you do really well with them, feel free to make your own word problem to bring in and share with the class!
